Asian Hornets pose a significant threat to all pollinators, not just honey bees. At TBKA we have an Asian Hornet Team (AHT) made up of members who are willing to assist the National Bee Unit in identifying and tracking them. 

Thanet is at higher risk due to its proximity to the Continent and being close to the Dover and East Sussex areas where there have been most confirmed nests and sightings.

Our association's goal is to have selective traps for every square km in Thanet at strategic times throughout the year and we are committed to raising awareness within our community.
